Since 2018, the GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center has partnered with Prudential Financial—a proud, founding partner of the museum—to create a series of five murals, throughout Newark’s five wards. Sharing a strong commitment to the communities they serve, Prudential Center and Prudential Financial believe this collaboration will add another colorful thread to Newark’s exciting revitalization—and shine a spotlight on the city’s deep musical roots.
The project is informed by the benefits of public art, including the power of murals to celebrate a city’s unique cultural history while transforming neighborhoods through increased commerce, foot traffic and tourism.
